Remote Desktop Connection

Steps for developing a remote desktop connection to AE Lab computers:

1. Set up a VPN connection from your computer if it is not directly connected to the AE network. If you do not have VPN software installed, go to the download area at www.engr.psu.edu/vpn to obtain the Cisco VPN Client software. You will need to log into the VPN software with your COE Access account.
2. Find a computer to connect to by going to the AE Lab site (http://www.engr.psu.edu/ae/labcomputing/availability/)
3. Open a Remote Desktop session by going to 'Start - All Programs - Accessories - Remote Desktop Connection'.
4. Type the computer name followed by '.coeaccess.psu.edu' into the Computer.
   Example: ae2000.coeaccess.psu.edu
   Note that you can select 'Options' and revise the connection options. You will need to log into the computer with your COE Access account.
